چکیده
Background Proprioception is vital for motor control and can be disturbed, example, due to fatigue or injury. Clinical feasible, reliable valid tests of shoulder proprioception are warranted. The aim was investigate the effects local on reliability a feasible joint position sense test using an experimental repeated measures design. Method Forty participants assess test–retest reliability. then utilized subgroup handball players who were subjected five bouts throwing task with dominant hand. effect investigated by comparing fatigued non-fatigued shoulder. Results There significant interaction arm × bout ( p = 0.028, η 2 0.20) 0.034, 0.35) decrease in compared non-throwing arm. intraclass correlation coefficient 0.78 (95% CI [0.57; 0.89]). standard error measurement between trials 0.70° (range: 0.57°–0.90°). Discussion results indicate that disturbs sense. Assessment modified showed acceptable valuable assessment tool clinic.

The effects of muscle fatigue on shoulder joint position sense.
Proprioception, or joint position sense, probably plays an important role in shoulder joint function. In this study, we assessed the effect of muscle fatigue on shoulder proprioception in 20 volunteers with no shoulder abnormalities. Shoulder proprioception was measured as the threshold to first detection of humeral rotation with the joint at 90 degrees of abduction and 90 degrees of external r...
متن کاملA 5-year evaluation and results of treatment of chronic locked dislocations of the shoulder joint
Abstract Background: Chronic neglected dislocation of the shoulder joint can be defined as a neglected dislocation for more than a 3 week period. However, it has been shown that the negligence could range from a 24 hour period to 6 months1. Depending on age, signs, symptoms, etiology and types of dislocation, conservative treatment or surgical intervention could be considered. Methods: In t...
متن کاملKinesio Tape and Shoulder-Joint Position Sense.
CONTEXT Joint position sense (JPS) is a key neuromuscular factor for developing and maintaining control of muscles around a joint. It is important when performing specialized tasks, especially at the shoulder. No researchers have studied how Kinesio Tape (KT) application affects JPS. OBJECTIVE To investigate the effects of KT application and no tape on shoulder JPS at increasing shoulder elev...
متن کاملThe Impact of Open Kinetic Chain Exercises and TRX Suspension Exercises on Shoulder Joint Proprioception in Overhead Athletes with Shoulder Impingement Syndrome : Randomized Controlled Trial
Purpose: Sub-acromial impingement syndrome [SIS] is one of the most common causes of shoulder pain, which affects shoulder joint proprioception. Closed kinetic chain [CKC] exercises with a Sling are more effective and safer than open kinetic chain [OKC] exercises. This study aimed to compare the efficiency of OKC and Sling exercises [TRX] on shoulder sense position joints in overhead athletes w...
متن کاملShoulder proprioception in baseball pitchers.
We examined proprioceptive differences between the dominant and nondominant shoulders of 21 collegiate baseball pitchers without a history of shoulder instability or surgery. A proprioceptive testing device was used to measure kinesthesia and joint position sense. Joint position sense was significantly (P =.05) more accurate in the nondominant shoulder than in the dominant shoulder when startin...
